The growing digital transformation observed in recent decades has promoted significant changes in the management processes of both public and private organizations, including educational institutions. In this context, Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands out as a technology capable of supporting the modernization of school administration by contributing to process optimization, improved decision-making, and the strengthening of data-driven management. This article aimed to analyze the use of Artificial Intelligence as a support tool in the management of public schools, identifying its main applications, benefits, challenges, and implications for educational administration. Methodologically, the study is characterized as a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive research developed through a bibliographic review. Data collection was conducted through the analysis of books, scientific articles, dissertations, theses, and institutional documents related to school management, digital technologies, and Artificial Intelligence applied to education. The results revealed that AI has significant potential to contribute to the automation of administrative processes, monitoring of educational indicators, resource management, identification of school dropout risks, and support for strategic decision-making. Furthermore, the use of these technologies may promote greater administrative efficiency, transparency in public management, and improvements in institutional planning and evaluation processes. However, the literature also highlights challenges related to technological infrastructure, manager training, personal data protection, algorithm transparency, and the need to preserve the principles of democratic school management. It is concluded that Artificial Intelligence represents a promising tool for the management of public schools, provided that its implementation is accompanied by investments in infrastructure, professional training, and public policies that ensure the ethical, responsible, and inclusive use of digital technologies in educational environments.
